PD Pasar Jaya to Hold Cheap Market Intensively During Ramadan

PD Pasar Jaya President Director, Arief Nasrudin stated the cheap market during Ramadan would be held as much as 44 times. It will be held in markets belong to PD Pasar Jaya.

It is done to maintain price stabilization in the market during Ramadan, as the commodities sold in the market are cheaper than other markets

"It is done to maintain price stabilization in the market during Ramadan, as the commodities sold in the market are cheaper than other markets," he expressed, Tuesday (5/15)

He explained cheap market would be held in some markets. They are Baru Metri Atom Market, Cempaka Putih Market, Gondangdia Market, Johar Baru Market, Paseban Market, Petojo Ilir Market, Pal Merah Market, Jembatan Lima Market, Grogol Market, and Cengkareng Market.

Cheap Market Opened at Pesakih Flat

There are also Pospengumben Market, Koja Baru Market, Sunter Podomoro Market, Kelapa Gading Market, Santa Market, Mampang Prapatan Market, Rumput Market, Pal meriam Market, and Pulo Gadung Market. 

Some commodities sold in cheap market are rice (197,914 kg per day), sugar (24,226 kg per day), cooking oil (25,360 liters per day), and beef (53,955 kg per day).

"Then for chicken meat (75,135 kg per day), egg (111,928 kg per day), chili (140,025 kg per day), and garlic (127,905 kg per day),” he said.
